1. Strength - Obstacle courses designed to develop upper body and leg strength. Rope climbing - strengthens arm and leg muscles. Jumping up and down on mats and blocks will strengthen your childs legs
2. Fundamental Agility - Teach skills that are important to many other sports including swimming, football, netball to name just a few
3. Teaches your child to jump - in both vertical and long jump
4. Body Control - Learning to navigate obstacles courses, using body weight and muscles to full advantage. Flips, rolls and tumbling skills require a degree of muscle control which is advantageous throughout life.
5. Improves a child's agility - The ability to move quickly and easily and a requirement to succeed in other sports
6. Strenghten your childs bones - The force of weight and movement against gravity will aid in the development of strength and bone density
7. Improvement of balance - Taught using gymnastics equipment, skill development and navigation of obstacles
8. Increase flexibility - Vital for moving the body up, over and along obstacles. Reduces the risk of injury in helping the muscles work more effectively
9. Improve your childs coordination - Success in tumbles, rolls, rope climbing, balance and swinging with hand eye and foot coordination - require repetition of exercises for the body to coordinate as the brain instructs
10. Learn to fall - Important in minimising impact and absorbing shock whilst preventng inury. A vital skill to have!
A gymnastics environment is the ideal place for success in skill developmenet with an abundance of mats, blocks, bars, beams, sprung floor, trampolines and foam pit. An ideal place for skill development, learning to fall and safe landings- instrumental in instinctive movement and sporting achievement for later life
